Not directly football related, but may effect all of us in a very serious way. Jerusalem Post reported today(I have heard similar reports on gulf area english shortwave broadcasts for several weeks that something big is coming) that Isreali Planes are now practicing for a strike on Iran from US Bases IN Iraq. Also heard from a Turkish broadcast recently that Isreal IAF will do the strike on IRAN and the US navy will defend the Persian Gulf and strike Iranian naval and surface to surface anti-ship missile targets. A new Russian surface to air missile system is supposed to be in place and set up by the end of the year and Isreal will not wait for that to happen to endanger its pilots and will strike before its operational.
If this goes down and it keeps looking like it will sooner or later, the oil market and gas prices will head off into the stratosphere and possible shortages may occur. Things may change in a profound way overnight. Very serious situation.
